CHOREO THEATRO CENTER'S MISSION

Choreo Theatro Center will promote and nurture dance, theatre, and fine arts in the recently re-zoned Greenpoint, Brooklyn waterfront area. The Center will present Dance and Theatre performances in its studios and playhouse, both of which overlook the Manhattan skyline and nearby industrial surroundings to create a unique venue. Its Fine Art exhibitions, further, will use the building's raw industrial morphology to complement the showing of modern painting and sculpture.

Choreo Theatro will present its own productions; work which will be based on Classical theatre as well as on original contemporary themes through the use of a multidisciplinary vocabulary. Simultaneously, Choreo Theatro will invite guest artists from a variety of disciplines to present other Dance and Theatre Performances, Music Concerts, Art Exhibits, Film Productions, Poetry Readings, and Photography. Moreover, the Center will provide artists with rehearsal space and studios to develop and showcase their work.

Choreo Theatro desires to make a change in Greenpoint, Brooklyn's community by creating an artistic environment that is rich, challenging, and alive through the development and presentation of it's own and guest artists' works. Its goal is to encourage greater exposure to education and culture and to broaden the public access to the excellence and diversity of the arts through its management and administration.
